Went down to Upper Hutt on Friday.
Wonder of wonders I found a copy of "The Point" in the family store.
The cover looked as if it may have seen too many parties but inside the vinyl  was clean as a whistle and the insert was still there!

Today was another of those days when I had an inkling to get up and go to the redshed and there on the 2for$10 shelf was Galaxy Quest which has to be one of the top 10 best movies ever made.
even better than last year in Marienblahhhhh.

anyway I have to say I am not surprised by the treatment handed out to Bruce Edgar.
Once anything becomes successful in NZ then the No Talents emerge from the woodwork and they seem to have the ability to push the real people aside.
KIwis are very poor losers and even worse winners.
It seems as if the bone of contention was that the no-talents were afraid that Edgar was getting  too big a media profile.

Read a thing about a weatherman in the US who wont fly anymore because of the pollution from particulates in the atmosphere from Jets.
The upshot was that people got on social media and said they were going to fly twice as much now just to piss him off.

Wailboils point man in the Wairarapa came in all puffed up with  self importance from being horrible to people on line that  he hasnt got the guts to face up to in person.
Then he asked one of the Librarians if she was just new there.
