the Local Body Commission has never given one good reason why the three wairarapa local bodies should amalgamate.
they cant.
thats why.
the whole process is being politically driven by right wing ideologues so they can parcel up the assets and sell them off to their mates.
for a consideration of course.
just because you have almost instant access to the media to push your venal scheme does not make it right and never will.
People in the Wairarapa hav e been taking care of their own business since New Zealand was first constituted and it is not the place of any johnny come lately popinjays to make decisions for others that are not in their best interests.
