once a week this rag called the wairarapa news slithers into my leterbox.
this week the column by Rick Long was a slimy nasty attack on the late David Lange that was just rubbish and then the editor, one piers fuller (immigrant) has the gall to lionise the wairarapas standing bobble head joke.
rick is an inheritor who beleives he did it all himself.
yeah right.
prefers the cacophony of his own guitar to being a team player and fuller is a snivelling psychophant who thinks he has to grease up these dinosaurs to find a place in Masterton society.
yeah right.

a bit like Jesse Mulligan.
he who cannot resist inserting himself into his radio programme.
must be very insecure to need to think that he is bigger than the job.
are there no wise heads in RNZ to straighten him up.
Its  bad enough having to go to bat against the partisan tory idiots on facebook without having to do the friggin editors job for him

Great doco of the Rolling Stones tour of South America last year.
They were right on th epace and the little vignette of Keef and Mick doing an acoustic version of Honky Tonk Women was ample evidence that Keef still has his chops as he played that beautiful Broonzyesque strum of his.
Keith has to be one of the greatest musicians of the 20th century and any examination of filmed evidence shows that not only was he master of the rhythm and the riff but he could play the meanest tastiest discordant lead lines ever extraced from a six string electric guitar.

had an urge to listen to Da Doo Ron Ron the other night.
On one of those Musicworld cd's that you can download to the pc but never any media info or track listing.
never no mind.
Then along came the chordettes with Mr Sandman and the whole house was fairly rocking.
hehehehehe.
makes me feel young again.

back to the original premiss and googling ultimateguitartabs for the chors of mr sandman and it is some little number with sophisticated changes and modulations.
I'll give it a go but no guarantees I will ever get it down.

Bob Brockie and  medical Marijuana
Brockie correctly identifies Marijuana as an effective pain reliever but then he veers off the path with a whole raft of speculative effects with no evidence.
Marijuana will not cause mental illness.
It is there since the original trauma or series of traumas in infancy.
I agree that Marijuana should not be allowed to be accessed by juveniles but for the rest the people who do no harm to others have a right to conduct their own lives as they wish.
Religious or moral judgements are not absolute and are the results of dogma and the discipliniary proclivities of the modern day Moses who wish to enforce their own set of rules on everyone else because God told them so..

If you want to hear them at their 12 bar best then I recommend the old blues Standard "Confessing The Blues" writen by Jay Mcshan and on the Stones 12x5 album.
