so what were the necessary and sufficient conditions tha t produced these giants of music?
for bob the answers are reasonably easy to discern.
His dad owned a furniture store that sold "STEREOGRAMS" and records.
His uncles owned movie theatres in Hibbing.
and obviously he was very intelligent.
out of this social stew came the music that we or I anyway love and which will last forever.
for the stones it is a little harder. how did these kids find the blues and fall in love with them?
Brian and Keith were afficianados of Elmore James. Jimmy Reed, Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters, Elvis, Buddy Holly and 1950's R&B in general.
From records they taught themselves how to play the blues on an equal footing with the masters some of whom they eventually surpassed in abilities and mass acceptance.
both bob and the stones started by copying others till they eventually realised they were artists in their own right and exploded into mass consciusness.
Both of them had ambition but it was no to become and instant artiste like the current crop
A necessary condition is a condition that must be present for an event to occur. A sufficient condition is a condition or set of conditions that will produce the event. A necessary condition must be there, but it alone does not provide sufficient cause for the occurrence of the event.
