david shearer, anthony hubbard, experts, femininity and dishonesty

dateline march 25,2012.
In this mornings Sunday Star Times there is an article on the rebranding of the New Zealand Labour Party's new leader David Shearer where a few experts give their opinions on how Shearer can maximise his outputs (hahahahaha).
In one paragraph the by-line journalist Anthony Hubbard claims that an "expert" in linguistics has told him that Shearers speech patterns are feministic because he uses interrogatives and the aforesaid expert also says that interrogatives are a speech pattern incorporating an approval seeking  device.
That may be so but in logic interrogatives are an invalid form of argument and a fallacy.
And according to feminist writer Anne Wilson Schaeff they are dishonest and disrespectful because they assume that the listener is going to agree with the interlocutor immediately and without question.
The glorification of faux working class Teevee, e.g. Eastenders and Coronation Street where the script is loaded with interrogatives has enabled their adoption in the population at large and especially in the media and the news which is sounding crummier and crummier by the day.
So I suggest that Anthony Hubbards expert on linguistics make some further investigation into the rampant dishonesty and disrespect at large in the people instead of just writing it off as a "tag ending" or 'speech pattern".
