take a walk on the wilde side

Yeah well. when you take a walk down heart attack and vine and come back again things just aint what they seem or for that matter what they used to be.
Its not like it wuzz anymore.
A new personal paradigm emerges that is able to look at all the questions without being bound by religious, right wing or petit bourgeois mentality or spurious morality.
Anyway the question is political autonomy for the Wairarapa.
And hey presto all, and that means all, the actors have their own agenda's no matter how much they try to hide them behind economic shiiboleths like rational self interest for instance.
Well the figures are always capable of being massaged and rationalised but the self interest is psychopathic. Everyone wants to be the big BOSS when the washup comes.
Only Carterton mayor ron Mark is capable of seeing that the more arcane and esoteric local body politics are then the better.
the local incumbent on the regional council is the rump ending of the marxists turned capitalists from the 60's and fully equipped with steatopygic appendages to try and bump anyone else out of the way and a full grab bag of sexual accusations for use when necessary acquired from other campaigns (from the 60's).
like yew are homophobic dude!
therefore everything you say is suspect.
(thats a neat trick)
The uspshot is they all want to grab the brass ring and become someone.
A pox on all of them I say.
Let them pay for whats necessary but the rest of the time make them keep their distance.
dont give them anything or they'll soon grab the lot.
some might think I am being a little harsh or perhaps even vulgar but the thing is none of these hacks are statesmen. Thie primary concerns are self aggrandiesment in the narrow little world of New Zealand and grabbing anythng they can.
As Hunter S. thompson would say they no better than grubby little ward heelers.
there is no higher purpose or desire to make things better for everybody.
and that is the troof.
