velo-dogs

Osceola

Beautiful autumnal day today. Church fairs up and down the valley. Went to Saint Marks and got a few books from the book store. Medieval history, classic british motor bikes of the 50's, The Country Music Encyclopedia and Aristotles Nichomachean Ethics. Heaveeeeeeee....
It was unbeleivably pleasant to sit in the north transept and have coffee and scones with cream and rasberry jam and look out on the lawns and the mighty Oaks and people groovin' around.

Saint Davids across the road were trimming their Sequoia yesterday and somebody grabbed a bit of a branch and carried it off and dumped it outside the drive to my place so I picked it up and carried it home.
It was heaveeee...
hehehehehe.
I'll find somebody who wants to carve a nice piece of wood somewehere down the track and offload it.Quick quiz in the rag this morning asked what was the French Dassault company famous for so I picked up some piccys of the Mystere. Good aeroplanes and they served the Israelis well. I dont think the French machines ever fired a shot in anger but they were capable.
New NH90's for the RNZAF. big leap from 60's technology to state of the art. Lets hope they dont crash any of them.  The hueys were starting to get a bit loose but that doesn't mean discipline has to.
dig?

"velo-dog"
Velo-dogs. pistols made in Spain and Belgium in the early 1900's for cyclists (velocopedists) to shoot large ferocious hounds with. More is the pity that they aren't legal here. NOW.
