peace in the valley...

Got and Elvis xmas CD yesterday from the warehouse. Very nice and his version of peace in the valley is probably the best of them all!!!!!!
yep.
I need to take time out here to congratulate the warehouse for al lthe wonderful music I have bought there.
Well over half my collection was sourced there and It is a wonderful collection of off the wall compilations and what used to be rarities but are now commonplace EU re-issues.
blues and 60's pop.
you know.
real music.
Wonderful stuff.
go the Kiwi's.
rip em up dudes.
I have always thought SBW was a bit of a pill but he has an inner dignity that is hard to deny and I wish him and the boys all the best.
The ashes.
The thing about the aussies is that they have always been sore losers and their faces are a study in childish anger and petulance.
awwfull.
real kiwis:
undrpants one size too small.
all I want for xmas is a spray pack so I can walk round killing everything.
off to the v8's so I can get deaf and then I dont have to listen to anyone including myself, the wife and the world at large.
Movember nudge nudge, wink wink. I'm a bit of a cunning linguist myself, nudge nudge wink wink.
and more.
local body amalgamation.
more words in the rags.
its just puff.

trying to define something into existence.

When whoever it is gives one good reason for it then the people can discuss it.
at the moment its just blah.
But thats the kiwi way.
Hire an ad agency and a focus group and think that that amounts to consultation.
do you really think that people are that stupid?
The original boundaries were drawn to account for geographical reality and based on tried and true priciples of local governmennt and now people are being fed the line that we are more democratic while the powers that be do their best to centalise control and grab ALL the power.
and the jobs
and the trips
and the hotels and most importaNT OF  allthe arse kissing.

when I was a cowboy...

The One and Only George Shuffler

I'm getting a bit cheesed off with all the mouthers trying to tell everyone else how to be a kiwi.
learn to swim
listen to dave dubbin
commercial radio is really piling it on at the moment.
where are all the graduates from the music schools around the country.
why isn't their music on the radio.
either it isn't good enough or the idiotes who run the show have got tine ears.
and haircuts like michael clarke.
any number of antics to prove to the rest that youuuuu are a real kiwi!
listen to the radio this morning and a social worker was talking about kids welfare and how "THEY" are all busy trying to make simple things complicated.
See thats the kiwi way.
just keep on piling on the  add-ons until the whole thing collapses under its onw weight and then when you have asteaming pile of crap MOVE ON.
yeah right.
thats my pikle of shit and I'm proud of it.
put it righ there with the leaf blower
the cahinsaw
the outboard motor
the hardly davison
the angel grinder
and all the other crap I dont need but the noise drwons out the wife.
hehehehehehehehe.

you talk too much...

Paul Shaffer.
You are with the show dude.
Love Felicias pink Strat and the band was rocking the other night to I'm a Man.

being hassled at the moment.
I can see why the rich cant be bothered with the poor.
You meet someone then immediatley they think they can rely on your better nature to sound off in public and make loud mouthe remarks in all situations.
nup.
and I'm being stalked by a local boobhead.
Somebody asked me for an opinion and I gave it and they told the person and ow they are busy trying to get even.
wonder what the cops can do or do I have to do it myself.
No fgree hits here.

he may be a fool but he's our fool...

Last night I saw Lester Maddox on a TV show

With some smart ass New York Jew

And the Jew laughed at Lester Maddox

And the audience laughed at Lester Maddox too

Well he may be a fool but he's our fool

If they think they're better than him they're wrong

So I went to the park and I took some paper along

And that's where I made this song

We talk real funny down here

We drink too much and we laugh too loud

We're too dumb to make it in no Northern town

And we're keepin' the niggers down

We got no-necked oilmen from Texas

And good ol' boys from Tennessee

And colleges men from LSU

Went in dumb. Come out dumb too

Hustlin' 'round Atlanta in their alligator shoes

Gettin' drunk every weekend at the barbecues

And they're keepin' the niggers down

CHORUS

We're rednecks, rednecks

And we don't know our ass from a hole in the ground

We're rednecks, we're rednecks

And we're keeping the niggers down

Now your northern nigger's a Negro

You see he's got his dignity

Down here we're too ignorant to realize

That the North has set the nigger free

Yes he's free to be put in a cage

In Harlem in New York City

And he's free to be put in a cage on the South-Side of Chicago

And the West-Side

And he's free to be put in a cage in Hough in Cleveland

And he's free to be put in a cage in East St. Louis

And he's free to be put in a cage in Fillmore in San Francisco

And he's free to be put in a cage in Roxbury in Boston

They're gatherin' 'em up from miles around

Keepin' the niggers down

so there ya goo.
I cant think of much to say today.
its all grey and nothing much happening.
had lunch with the olds.
some good stories and now back to the guitar.

From cotton to satin from Birmingham to Manhattan

From a pickup to a long limousine

From cotton to satin from Birmingham to Manhattan
C          G7         C
She had to follow her dream

                     F                 C
I saved up enough to buy her one small diamond
                                       G7
That's the year that old tractor broke down
C                                  F               C
And the dream house I promised her still lies by a shade tree
                    G7         C
Some old bricks and boards all around

                          F               C
She begged me to take her to see New York City
                                    G7
So I mortgaged the farm and we were gone
C                           F              C
But while we were there she took up with a rich man
                   G7       C
I came back to the country alone

                              F                 C
Now there is the garden where she touched every flower
                                           G7
There's the meadow where we walked hand in hand
C                          F                  C
If only she'd waited she'd have more than she dreamed of
               G7               C
For today they struck oil on my land

                                          F
She went from cotton to satin from Birmingham to Manhattan
C                              G7
From a pickup to a lonely limousine
C                                F
From cotton to satin from Birmingham to Manhattan
C          G7         C
She had to follow her dream

She went from cotton to satin
