memo for chris bishop mp (list)...

A record 51,015 new homes were consented in the year ended May 2022, up 17 percent from the year ended May 2021, Stats NZ said today.

“Prior to 2021, the highest number of new homes consented was 40,025 in the year ended February 1974,” construction and property statistics manager Michael Heslop said.

The February 1974 record was first broken in the year ended March 2021.

“May 2022’s annual record is now nearly 10,000 higher than what was set in the year ended March 2021,” Mr Heslop said.

“Since March 2021, we have continued to see record-breaking levels of new homes being consented, driven by the growth in multi-unit homes.”

There were 26,479 multi-unit homes consented in the year ended May 2022, up 36 percent compared with the year ended May 2021. Over the same period 24,536 stand-alone houses were consented (up 2.1 percent).

“This is the third consecutive month that the annual number of new multi-unit homes consented exceeded new standalone houses,” Mr Heslop said.

Multi-unit homes include townhouses, apartments, retirement village units, and flats.

Up until the very last years of his life ... Pappy could have directed another picture, and a damned good one. But they said Pappy was too old. Hell, he was never too old. In Hollywood these days, they don't stand behind a fella. They'd rather make a goddamned legend out of him and be done with him.[73]

Professor MacCullock spits the dummy...

Another full page in the Wairarapa Times Age by one Professor Robert MacCullock this time blaming politicians of both stripes for "Sucking The Life Out Of Young New Zealanders.

Apart from the generally accepted conclusion that psychological integrity is installed in the first five years of infancy we seem to be relating every single psychological instance to lack of jobs or money and lack of resillience in kiwi youth.

Professor MacCulloch is a specialist in macroeconomics  but there is no mention of why there are no jobs in new zealand for youngsters.

i.e. why has there been not been sufficient investment resulting in employment opportunity.

surely this should be sheeted home at the captains of industry and I fail to see how politicians are to blame.

Perhaps professor maccullock could enlighten us all on what business should be doing to produce jobs?

paranoia and schizophrenia...

 Paranoia is a deadly disease.

Sigmund Freud was of the opinion that it was not possible to cure this affliction and his analysis and  reading other psychoanalytic writers  does not present a pretty picture.

In contrast exploring google then the reader is given an easily comprehended list of supposed examples and indicators of  paranoia some of which may indicate the disease entity but there is so much more.

the true example of paranoia is to understand what symbol the paranoid is using to disguise his disease from himself and anyone else.

Every body wants the easy route but this is not it.

In essence Freud et al say that paranoia is a defense against passive unconscious homosexuality which is of course offensive to the proponents of sexual politics who believe that their sexual preferences are a matter of choice and therefore any further discussion is verboten.

exhibiting one or more of these examples is sufficient to command a diagnosis of paranoia and/or schizophrenia usually both so the medical professional is covered.

In the beginning of psychoanalysis it was found that treating paranoids was a dangerous game because the patient was possessed of a secret about their own sexuality and if it was revealed then it would become psychically intolerable and they were prepared to kill to keep their secret and in some fact some early psychoanalysts were murdered in their consulting rooms because they were unaware of how dangerous it was.

In this day and age with DSM and the class structure of modern medicine it has become de rigeur to pretend that it is possible to treat mental illness with psychotropic medicines coupled with logic and reasoning which funnily enough is a direct contradiction of the problems of mental illness.

Really entering into the mind of a paranoid is dangerous to the practitioner themself as it may occasion a psychotic break in the person trying to understand the basic problem.

Usually what happens is that the medical team will give a catchall diagnosis of paranoid/schizophrenia which gives them the go ahead to prescribe psychotropic medicine without really having any effect whatsoever except to sedate the patient and delude the practitioner into thinking they have done something.

paranoids because of the cunning needed to hide their true feelings and delusions find it easy to bamboozle any average professional and if the psychosis is strong enough then they go out of care and murder.

also the beds are needed and hey this guy, and it usually is a guy has given his word.

any time you read about a man who has knifed his wife to death it is a paranoid who will say that his wife was unfaithful when what they really mean is that she has done in his mind what he wishes to do. i.e have sexual relationships with many men.

on the other hand a true schizophrenic is someone who has been overwhelmed in infancy with sexual symbolism and  exposed to the parents sexuality wherby the whole world has become sexualised to the point where they must withdraw from the world completely.

and the thing is after talking to the medicos they operate by rule of thumb and collegial discussion. most of them have not read the necessary books nor have they had the life experience to talk to the ,lower classes unless they are delivering judgements from on high, i.e. talking down to them from a position of  social superiority and chapter and verse from DSM which after all is a manual for gauging insurance compay liability.

so there ya have it. the world rolls on. another life is taken and the judge delivers a homily about the grossness of the act, the malefactor gets banged up  and nothing changes.

vile article in todays Times Age by hooten...

Slimy piece by booten in todays Times Age.

half and half on the editorial page and the op-ed although it would have covered the whole editorial page but that would be going too far even for the Times Age.

The upshot is that hooten is claiming that there should be a snap election over the handling of a hothouse flower and their bun in the oven and the operation of MIQ.

F*ck you hooten. this government is here to stay and the people of New Zealand all know they dodged a bullet  but you want to portray it as one takes precedence over the many.

There is no alternative to a Labour government at the moment.

The Nationals party is weak and vaccillating and their greed and envy is rancid and self evident and I know you have read this when you start using my words because like the nationals party you are lazy and full of it.

Lonely Boy - Andrew Gold

gitarzan...

 He's free as the breeze

He's always at ease
He lives in the jungle and hangs by his knees
As he swings through the trees
With a trapeze in his B.V.D.s
He's got a union card and he's practicing hard
To play, the guitar, gonna be a big star
Yeah, he's gonna go far
And carry moonbeams home in a jar
He ordered Chet's guitar course C.O.D.
Makes A and E and he's working on B
Dig C & W and R & B and even the chimpanzees agree
That one day soon he'll be a celebrity
Get it, get it, get it, get it
Gitarzan, he's a guitar man
He's all you can stand
Give him a hand, Gitarzan
He's got a girl named Jane
With no last name
Kinda homely and plain
But he loves her just the same
'Cause she kindles the flame
And it drives him insane
When he hears her say
She really does her thing
It's her claim to fame
Come on sing one Jane
Baby, baby, oh baby
Baby, oh baby
(How about that, that's it from Jane, yeah
(Thank you, folks)
They've got a pet monkey
He likes to get drunky and sing boogie woogie
And it sounds real funky
Come on, your turn boy
Sing one monkey, you go
On Saturday night they need some excitement
Jane gets right and the monkey gets tight
And their voices unite
In the pale moonlight
And it sounds all right
Yeah, it's dynamite, it's out of sight
Let's hear it right now
Baby, baby oh baby, baby
Shut up baby, I'm trying to sing
Baby
Get it, get it, get it, get it
Gitarzan, and his jungle band
They're all you can stand
Give him a hand, Gitarzan (hey baby)
Gitarzan, and his jungle band
They're all you can stand
Give him a hand, Gitarzan

went to a meeting of local busybodies today.

when I told the cop that the judge would sought it out he jumped in his car and shot the gap.

anyway when this guy saw me he sang small and barely whispered his name.  he has gone from job to job around the place. these people seem to know where their bread is buttered. and how to keep the money rollin gin not really doing anything.

new zealand is full of these quasi jobs relhying on government funding that dont really do much

anyway he is now fat and greasy.

time wounds all heels.

NZLP Government creating fit for purpose health system...

The New Zealand government under a NATIONALS party administration ripped asunder a perfectlhy good health system to cut it up for sale in parcels and sharing it out among their mates.

The Labour government is busy centralising the twenty entities created by the nationals and making the system fit for its proper purpose again which is looking after the health of the  nation and not making private for profit health companies only interested in sucking as much money out of the individual as they can.

crisis time in new zealand....

New Zealand is in crisis about everything.

the whole country is a whingers paradise.

whinge whinge whinge

listen to RNZ news and its a wonder that anything works at all!

there are twenty identical health systems in new zealand as the original system was broken up for future sale and any deficiencies are a result of money being spent on administrations that could and should be used for more professional staff.

Minister of health Andrew LIttle should keep hammering this point home instead of relying on  opaque speeches in the house.

colin bell raf...

We had a special visitor to the Navy Wings heritage hangar today, Veteran Colin Bell.

Flt Lt Colin Bell served in the RAF in WW2 as a Mosquito Bomber Pilot. During his tour of operations, he carried out 50 bombing raids - all over Germany- 14 of them over Berlin, a boiling cauldron of anti-aircraft defences.
For his outstanding service as a Pathfinder pilot at the vanguard of Bomber Command’s raids over Germany, Colin was awarded the DFC. When he was stood down from his front-line role in March 1944, having defied the odds of survival, he had just turned 24. Colin was born on 5 March 1921, and is now over 100 years old.
Colin started his career by volunteering for the Royal Air Force towards the end of 1940. After six weeks of initial flying training at Scarborough, he was posted to the US in 1941 for further flight instruction under the ‘Arnold Scheme’ at airbases in Florida and then Georgia.
He successfully completed his flying training and was commissioned into the RAF albeit he was still in the US; his return to England was delayed when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbour and America joined the war.
Colin Bell was retained by the American Army Air Corps as an advanced single-engine flying instructor responsible for training American and British pilot cadets. The main aircraft types he flew at this time were Stearmans, Vultee and Harvard.
In 1943, he returned to the UK , and converted to twin engine Mosquito Bombers. This training was at RAF Warboys and RAF Wyton. At Wyton, he teamed up with an experienced navigator, a Canadian named Doug Redmond. It was a partnership that remained together throughout their 50 operations in Bomber Command, and the professionalism they generated together was undoubtedly one of the factors that helped them survive the war in the face of brutal attrition rates in Bomber Command.
They were assigned to the recently created 608 Squadron (Pathfinder Group) based at RAF Downham Market in Norfolk. 608 Squadron was part of Bomber Command’s No 8 Group’s Light Night Striking Force.
Flying as a Pathfinder in Bomber Command
Between 5 September 1944 and 3 March 1945, Colin flew 50 operations over Germany, including strategic targets at Hannover, Hamburg, Cologne, Nurnburg, and Magdeburg. But none compared to the hellfire of Berlin, where prolific radar guided anti-aircraft guns, and hundreds of German night fighters, in airborne stacks, ferociously defended the capital of the Third Reich. As if to tempt fate, 8 out of Colin’s last 11 flights were over Berlin. Unbelievably, Colin survived the fiery cauldron of Berlin 14 times.
