ben longs voyage

yo ho ho and a bottle of rum

bullying in new zealand part two and greatest music of the sixities

bullying in the new zealand starts from the top down and is applied by the media.
tvnz and rnz employ announcers and interviewers who  are basically there tolook good and cow the natives.
judy bailley is not my mother.
anyway many of these people are shoulder tapped for looks and not knowledge and its not what you know but who you know then ignorance is at a premium.
so the hair and teeth brigade learn on the job.
to maintain their preeminence on the job till they learn something then they all and I mean all fall back on the lawyers trick of using interrogatives but instead of going to jail you are isolated from the group and excluded from the discourse.
so simple.
so easy.
so coronation street.
on the other side we have the system of government funding for social programmes being run by people who make the most inistant claims so they can get an office and a van and funding.
ha ha ha fucking ha.
game set and match.
every body thats any good leaves and the drongos stya here and it gets worse by the minute.
got that?
the result is a system of ignorance continually feeding back on itself and nothing ever gets done.
so simple so easy!

anyway.
a new category: great albums of the 60's

not a 60's album but hey, everybody else is making it up why not me?

peregrines, goshawks and pirates

its there that the river runs down golden sands and we're bound for the rio grande.

bullying in new zealand...MSN poll reveals all

booted up this morning and the msn poll said over 5,600 believed bullying was on the increase and 500 said it wasn't.
?
anyway bullying in NZ comes from the top down.
it is manifested in the TVNZ news and Radio New Zealand talk shows where the news readers and interviewers constantly use interrogatives to end their sentences thereby more or less asking people to agree with them and not giving them time to consider any evidence.
this is both dishonest and disrespectful.
this mornings paper reveals and ex all black getting name suppression for assaulting a child.
and we have high rates of infanticide which translates into plain murder by ignorant idiots who should never have been allowed to have charge of children in the first place.
there is no live and let live in new Zealand.
the place is run by idiots who have been shoulder tapped by idiots.
people cant really do anything in new Zealand.
we are a nation of users.
nobody builds a hot rod anymore.
they buy a plastic replica and think its the real deal.
nup.
we don't make anything and consequently there is no tradition of doing anything except watching teevee and comparing oneself with others and consulting the norms to see if the "other" doesn't come up to scratch.
its a very sorry situation but it keeps the courts busy and the doogooders tut tutting for every thing they are worth.
they don't do anything except tut tut.
truly a nation of ineffectual ninnies

and todays msn poll (wednesday February 8, 2012) reveals that 739 people say smacking makes kids more aggressive and 2180 says it doesn't.
so who is right rather than an opinion?

apologies and accusations...TV1 backslides into rampant dishonesty

first up I must apologise to Carterton Library. In my conceit I thought they had done a trick with the history of Spain but no. It was legit.
accusations:
our good hair and teeth pals over at TV1 have given up the ghost on the use of interrogatives.
our society is dishonest enough without them using a very common dishonest and disrepectful trick of ending a sentence with an interrogative.
now that the election is over they must feel they can relapse into asking everybody to agree with them and deny them the right of considering any evidence.
perhaps they are like logicians in the 19th century who thought that logic was a property of the mind and psychological?
whatever dallow, saville, peterie and co think they dont have to take any notice of the fact that they have become more and more like coronation street types who dont have to obey any thing except themselves.
I mean they are on Teevee aren't they?
They can do what they like can't they?

There is no one to say them nay is there?

bandwidth bozos

this man had ev erything to live for but the gave his life in the trenches of world war one for his country.

blood and guts

take me for a ride in your airplane

dont have much to say at the moment.
reading a history of Spain pre Isabella. Rulers there had the same sort of gst taxes then as we have now. they were devised by the moors in Morocco and favoured the rich against the poor and were the source of much trouble. Its the rich wots gets the prunes and the poor wots get the sh*ts.
Oh and when Cortez sent his his first treasure fleet back to Spain from Mexico they were intercepted by French corsairs in the Straits of gibralta and he lost the lot. His luck went after that too.
Karma.

rugby, the world cup, the all blacks and the southland cycle trail

now that the brouhaha is over then it remains to be said that the All Blacks were the best team at the tournament and they deserved to win.
the guys were just too good for the others.
winning the rugby world cup is not easy and the AB's pulled it off.
they nearly missed though.
too many piccies in the social pages and sucking up to the PM could have killed it.
anyway.
just heard about the southland cycle trail.
they about to despoil the best trout river in the world just so pinheads can live their dream!
its a nightmare now.
too many people trying to stick their fingers in anything they want to because they can.
they just cant leave anything alone.
they have to leave their MARK.
its like they read too many cowboy books.
they have to leave their mark.
Just like the smart card at the elections.
makework for ninnies in the electoral commission.
cant they just do the job without all these unnecessary add ons?
no they gotta stick their finger in it.
just like the park at Masterton
a horn while people are trying to take a peaceful walk.
more monkeys doing stuff.
hoooooooooooooooo...hooooooooooooo.

yo ho ho and a bottle of rum

fifteen men on a dead mans chest!

now for something completely different...
