dont get better get even...

Poor Michael Wilson.
petulant little chappie.
isnt he?
When infformed that interrogatives are disrepsectful, dishonest, and an invalid mode mode of argument he throws a tanty and starts chucking them around.
I have the power  round here. Dont I ?
and he shills for Michale Lewis author of the Big Short without mentioning Chasing Goldman Sachs by Susan Mcgee and then he shills for Tenon which moved in the market today. Didnt it?

confederacy of dunces...

when a true genius appears in the world you will know him by this sign that he is attacked by a confederation of dunces.
Swift.

I would not say that I am a genius but I sure attract the dunces.
At the moment it is the gardener from Carter Court next door.
When he got the job he asked me how to get rid of the broadleaf in the lawn and I told him.
Fertilise the lawn and mow it.
not good enough for the ex ladies hairdresser and he sneaked in a contract sprayer.
It didn't work and the broadleaf is still there.
On saturday I was using this computer here in the public library and about to quote a quote from the Dompost when he came up to me and snatched the Dompost without asking.
I asked him for it back and he said that I could not use both the computer and read the rag at the same time.
Well that is not for him to decide.
This morning I was eating  breakfast on my patio and he came along with his own portable spray kit and kept spraying when I asked him not to as the wind was blowing in my direction and onto my food..
Not only that but he has already poisoned my  8 little Oak trees and the Sage Plants I had growing in the hedgerow.
I went over to talk to the management and the manger basically told me that they would do what they liked.
Neither the manager nor the gardener have a clue about what they are doing.
I was employed as a groundsman at both  Victoria University and Parliament buildings and have some reason to beleive that spraying is not necessary when the groundsman knows what they are doing but these people pretend that a. I have no rights and b. they dont care and c. they have no qualifications whatsoever to manage an institutional property.
I would like to report the actions of this man spraying when I was eating but who to?
If you have an opinion about spraying weedkiller on peoples food then write to these members of the Carter Society who oversee the workers.

lovely day today...

Good day yesterday.
found these two carry on movies at the Family Store in Masterton.
I will get the vhs out later on in the winter and ogle them.
It was big deal back in the day when a new Carry On film was on the "Coming Attractions" window at the Regent Theatre.
Ditto Steve Reeves.
He wuz the man.
maybe we were a bit more naive then but the Thief of Baghdad was hot stuff and the whole theatre would roar.
Ya dont get that any more.
Mostly because the sound is turned up so loud these days that the audience is stunned into submission by the soundfx.
hmmmmmm.
anyway.
Kimmy Hill.
Hi Kim.
Have put up a little reading list for you after listening to your comments this morning about relativism.
Relativism is just more more bullshit from mainly french h*m*sexual intellectuals who needed a device to protect themselves from confronting their own sexuality and now it has expanded into a post modern doctrine expressly for obscurantists who wnat to hide all number of things from examination.
Its all crap.
I didnt have time to rehearse Brian Fays analysis of relativism but he is the man that pulls the whole deal apart and makes sense of something that many others want to prevent seing the light of day.
One has to rememer that post modernism is about confusing people and confused people are the most controllable.
Nothing relative about that.
Nor is there any equivocating about the large hadron collider either!
and read Anne Wilson Schaef. The avowed anti-freudian whao actually is one (larfs).
She says that the feelings never lie and thats true.
Ones feelings always tell you the truth but if you have been brought up to lie to yourself, the family and the world about the true state of affairs then that is when you need therapy.
Just remember that the truth is in very high supply but very low demand.

Oh and if you can find a copy try "Freud Rediscovered" by the late Lucy Freeman.

and another point is that during WW11 new Zealand was blighted by playing host to the cowardly little weasel Karl Popper who told everybody that psychonalysis was pseudo and that the will could fix everything.
Yeah right but the dumbarse Kiwis who were left behind when the real people went off to fight swallowed it whole.
The ignorati always think that there are simple solutions to everything.

Lucy Freeman.

yankee doodle went to town... aleatory adventures in music.

went to town again today.
needed some more reading material.
the guy at the desk tells me that the Masterton District Council has just reviewed the out of town borrowers fee and raised it over 100%.
That is just mean and hard nosed you folks.
and;
Disappointed to see a vox populi in Japan where one man said that if we eat cows then its ok to eat whales but he seemed to miss the point that there are plenty of cows in captivity but whales are wild animals and capable of being hunted to extinction.
That is not right and being old and pretending to be wise is no substitute for the facts.
Using the previous argument then maybe its ok to eat people too?

Still watching Ken Burns film of the American Civil war. Nasty stuff.
I don't seem to be able to hack the blood and guts anymore
Mans inhumanity to man is just too frightful.

Still I have re-awakened my interest in Wyeth, that grandest of artists.
It is incomprehensible seeing beauty and ugliness existing side by side.
The horror.
The horror.
anyway; I heard Bic Runga on the wireless this morning. First time I was actually aware of her music. She used to get really good reviews in Guitar Player and I see why now.
Make that I hear why now.
tee hee.

Funny thing about watching the films on the civil war is I find myself whistling all those nifty folk tunes.
The ones I used to hear when I was a five year old at school from the classroom two doors down.
I never got that teacher and I guess I'll never know whether they just liked the music or whether they were promoting the cause of civil rights.
Its great stuff though and I am starting to get better at the harp. My breathing is getting better and when I get some more chops going to try to cross harp it.
Cant wait.

when the earth moves again...

Go Boss.
Don't let the flat earthers get away with it!
they really want to kill everything in the world as long as they remain standing.
nothing is sacred to them except having their asses kissed by anyone they can cow.

David Letterman
Hi Dave.
They all getting ready to kiss your bum if you come down here.
and JOhn Travolta too.
shit they would all hav e a heart attack on the spot.
anyway if ya come dont tell anyone!
but please bring me a pair of size 12 snakeskin shitkickers!
okay?

I heard Felicia doing let me stand next to your fire again the other day.
Any time babe.

Listeneing to 9-noon today and they played for what its worth.
a cover version???????????
of course.

Watching Ken Burns film on the Civil War.
nasty.
for every one killed in battle 2 died in camp.
The horrors were too much and I couldn't watch the last episode before I went to bed.
It seemed like the Generals were all mad and they didn't care.
And the the backstabbing on Lincoln was creepy but I guess thats politics.
The question is who gained and who got all the war contracts?
why were men starving in camp while the warehouses were full of provisions.
Thats not all but the list of drongo's and madness is too long to detail here except to pick off one or two and let it all hang out.

grabbed a copy of Stand By Me yesterday cheap at the redshed.
they got a slot of good stuff at the moment.
grab it while its hot.

OOOOOOOPS.
Jeffie please accept my apologies.
No black cat on your trail!
You are still with us and we are still the better off for it.
Made a tape for a friend on MOnday and you had pride of place.

and..
hey Vlad.

blue yodel no 9...

had to get new connector yesterday for the dvd and the telly.
They made to break!
anyway I had the Johnny Cash Show from the Library and they want it back so it all went past in a rush but it was fabulous.
I nearly cried.
Took me back to when it was all fun and we were young.
They were all on it too.
Everyone from Neil young to tammy wynette and bob dylan.
and louis armstrong too.
He played on several Jimmie Rodgers dates back in the thirties (last century)and jazz fans should remember that the great Charlie Parker always listened to c&w too to remind him about real arpeggios.
wonderful stuff.
I will watch the two episodes again tonight.
too much fun.
woke up this morning feeling chipper.
then thought I would listen to the radio but the music was awful.
All whining gamines and people with no involvement in their own music.
some sheila on 9-noon warbling over a watered down screaming jay hawkins riff from I put a spell on you.
not this kid.
when you look at neil young holding the whole of the Ryman Auditorium in the palm of his hand with just his guitar and song and James Taylor ditto and compare it to today there is no comparison.
We living in a world of reconstituted mush and dats de troof.
the whole lot all sounds fake.
Frank Zappa said that when you here that guy playing the blues turnaround  for the umpteenth time you know he means it.
Nowadays its al lhair and teeth and five minutes on TV and then pooof.
and btw one segment of the programme on RNZ was about digging up the remains of the first mission station in NZ and it wasn't good.
the guy was looking for some evidence to denigrate the missionaries.
f*ck him.
without potatoes, corn and pumpkins the Maori population would have been wiped out by the time the New Zealand Company and the rest of the settlers had their way so a bit of acknowledgement of the truth would not hurt instead of this left handed doing down that never seems to stop.
and
The Ashes are like the world cup of cricket.
Aren't they?
No brendon telfer they are not.
Where does Radio Sport get these unlearned barely literate drongos from, who seem to think that the whole world is a matter of opinion and other infantile nonsense.
barffffffff.

Hey Paul...
(Paul Shaffer)
Dave must of been a bit insecure yesterday.
Dusted off my copy of the best of W&S and will spin the vinyl tomorrow after I take The Johnny Cash Show back to the library.

Rinse the blood from my toga!
give me a martinus.
you mean martini.
no.
when I want two I will ask for them!
Wayne and Schuster.
Canadians.
Very funny guys.
heeheehee.

thats all folks...

Zip ah de doo dah...zip ah

Walter Mosley

zip ah de day.
my oh my what a wonderful day.
yep.
went to town this a.m. for some things to make my pc and my dvd go.
erkkkkk.
The countryside was amazing.
even a 'plume' coming off the Mitre Peak.
amazing.
No one in town. everyone at home doing the stuff they would have done if the weather had not packed a sad last week.
never mind, it was a crisp frost and hang out the washing.
I read Little Green over the weekend and a jolly good read too.
Walter Mosley is pretty cool.
Maybe not in the same league as Chester Himes but nearly!!!!!.
Saturday afternoon Radio New Zealand had and hour of Louis Armstrong on Jazz Profiles at 2pm.
I don't know why but Louis always makes me feel happy when I hear his music.
Its infectious in an indescribable way. So I got out all my Louis Cd's and one by Bessie Smith and gave them some air. Even Bessie's blues don't sound so blue when Louis is doing the backing and the solos.
very curious.
Sunday morning I went to the Wild Oats to try out their WiFi but the virus things came up so I sat there and waited till they downloaded and then it was time to go home>
yah yah yah.
Sunday Star Times was good.
I enjoy Linda Hallinans columns. She is so down to earth  and the other ones try to copy her but they too superficial not to say unread.
hmmmmm.
Katy Waldman doesn't know anything about women and she is one?
On about thigh gaps and was not aware that even though geneticists go on about no evolutionary divergences in homo sapiens the TG is indicative of an MV. You know. the fleshy protuberance covering the symphisis pubis.
gloggle that.
There ya go mate. A new bizness making plastic insertable MV's for the gel that has everything but not that.
Susan Wood.
She has always seemed like a bit of a fraud to me and I cant be bothered watching her on Q+A. To shallow and it always sounds like she is shilling for the Nats.
who knows.
That's just my opinion.
hehehehehehehe.
An article on Coffee. The best coffee is made by Cona filters and you can get one at the Cafe Ole, nice pun that, in High street Carterton weekdays.
if ya want froth then they have that too.

Pinhead Patrol.
Easy to spot. they are the ones who get their leaf blowers out on Sunday afternoons and proceed to impose their wills on the whole neighbourhood just because they can.
they usually have whole lots of other stuff that they cant fix properly, and plastic hot rods that they need to cart their semi obese paramours around in so they can get other people to look at them..
ya get that.

Hot News from Colorado.
Pigs on put put on weight faster and taste better!

and
Blogsrating.
please piss off.

now for something completely different...
