and the joint was rocking...

going round and round.
yep.
sure was.
made up a tape for one of the guys at the rock n' roll school.
started off with 3 versions of around and around.
chuckleberry
the animals
the rolling stones.
hope they like 'em.
they dont seem to be able to make music like this any more.
its all bland and squeezed out of a pro tools programme so it all sounds the frigging same even when its completely different.
if you read Ian McLagans book on the early days of the Small Faces he tells of this smell that would come on about hafl an hour after the show started.
it was the girlies wetting their pants.
all those little theatres around the UK where those kids had more fun in an hour and a half than any kid sitting in front of a screen or watching some other cumbersome $200, 000, 000 piece of crap dreamed up by some infantilised accountant in hollywood.
pretty pass.
the world seems to have run out of original ideas.
must be just about lemming time.
Congrats to RNZ for the jazz programme on last saturday.
Claude Williams fiddle player. He was hot.
90 and STILL doing it.
He is still teaching and and major bluegrass fiddler Mark O'connor uses him for master classes.
More grunt in one of his licks that 50 albums by stefan grappelli.
sorry but thats true.

Time for PBC in USA to do a series on the territory bands or if they have one already for RNZ to buy it.
That early Count Basie stuff and Andy Kirks 12 Clouds of Joy is sumfing else.
Hey Dave.
David Letterman.
great to see Darlene Love on the show last night.
she one big bundle of woman and the pipes are still intact.
p.s. I would love to hear Felicia doing "He's A Rebel".
