memo to the editor of the wairarapa times age

 

read the editorial by one helen holt about "do we need the queen" anymore  today.

this piece of nitwittery was of a piece with litewait fluff in the womens weakly and and had no substance to it whatsoever.

I suppose we are living in the age of opinions and post modernistic only your own truths count but this writer had no conception of what the monarchy is about or its function or what it means and I failed to see any purpose except small town suburban jealousy rearing its ugly head when it feels as if all priviliges should be shared eaqually with the plebs.

so either the editor is unleanred himself or is prepared to print this garf just to pander to his juvenile jimmy olsens who need column inches for their cv's before they light a shuck for the big smoke

this is sad stuff and not up to any reasonable objective standard.
