farewell John Knox...

John passed last thursday.
Service tomorrow at Richmond Funeral parlour in Carterton at 10am.
I had a few beers with John in the Duke all those years ago.
Our paths diverged.
JOhn went on to become a scientific librarian and then a bureaucrat extraordinaire.
When he retired he had a bookshop on the North Shore and then a security guard at Skycity which he really enjoyed as he was a member of a well knit team with one objective and a huge Fillipino to deal with the jerks.
larfs.
He finally retired to Carterton.
When we met again it took a while to feel each other out but once the connections were established we became friends.
He and I both love literature and music including the Grateful Dead.
I have to say that John was probably the greatest Shakespearean actor who never trod the boards.
Anywhere.
He had an incredible memory for poetry and drama and he had a knack of delivery that was special when he let it out.
 Farewell old Friend.
