wairarapa woes...

Masterton and the Wairarapa in general has always been at the mercy of imports and carpetbaggers to fill important jobs and positions.

The best and the brightest leave in pursuit of education and experience and the lacuna is filled by people who can convince the various selection panels of their competence and ability.

As long as I can remember outsiders have come here and ticked off the place on their cv's and left the district better or worse off when they left shaking the dust of the yokels off their feet and never looking back.

The recent incident has highlighted the problem where the Masterton  CEO was caught removing legitimate posters and has now resigned effective immediately.

The Carterton ceo shot the gap with undue haste recently too.

I wonder at how some of the people who make these selections got their jobs in the first place.

They talk about community  but what they reallhy mean is rates raises and spending on stupid vanity projects.

The water storage plan has now gone down the gurgler but meanwhile some have managed to siphon off very generous salaries for their troubles.
