oh what a beautiful morning...

Greytown is at its best on a sunny weekday morning before the traffic starts to roll.
Jest like it used to be!

Go to the supermarket for some cheese rolls and wheatmeal bread and life is grand.
In the library now using the pc and reading the truncated DOMPOST.
Great review by JOhn BUtton of the Pearls of Polyphony by Phantasm at  St Mary's of the Angels.
He signs of by saying that it was the finest viol playing he has ever heard!!!!!!!!
Praise indeed.
Sorry I missed it.
My two great regrets in life are I never learned to yodel like Slim Whitman and I never learned the fiddle.
hmmmmmmm.
Cello and and violin music is the best in my opinion and I love the oldtime and not so old time country fiddling which expresses something that modern music is light years away from and disappearing over the event horizon into oblivion while the good stuff will be here forever.

Richard Dawkins is a dork.
He is another sometime biologist with very weak claims to being some sort of philosopher without ever doing phil 101 so that his prognostications are more like opinions than reasoned arguments.
He does not seem to realise that as Plato suggested that humans need a myth to live by and by and large it is very necessary for our society to beleive in something.
As human beings we are just not good enough.
On the other side of the coin I do not want to read the bible.
I am just a poor pilgrim and not some sort of lutheran godbotherer.
And
Geoff Robson I do not care to know how much you know but how much you care.
As a pastor  it is your job to preach the world of God and and the sermon on the mount.
Not fill us all up with religious guilt and unexplained crimes against the creator.
The born again christians of the 60's and 70's have corrupted the word of god for the sake of jobs in the priesthood, royalties from hillsongs and the chance to bring people to heel with dire warnings of hellfire as espoused by THEM.
They are theologasters with shallow and paltry theologys yet they proclaim to know it all.
