the lowering of standards in everything...

no 1. somebody please tell the editor of the Dompost that david warners century is no atonement for cheating.
atonement is bound to repentance and  not to doing something else to take the heat off.
making a century is not atonement for cheating.

no 2. there seems to be some sort of concerted attack in the press to get at PHil Twyford for not meeting the kiwibuild target.
ho hum.
first in the Wairarapa times Age this morning and again in the Dompost where one stacey kirke gets half the op-ed page to lambast him and play amateur psychologist with a greasy right wing pejorative bent.
well kirk should go to the property pages and see the article on the renovated state house.
who sold that and why?
that is the reason for kiwibuild in the first place.
Phil Twyford has not sold one state house since he has been in government and he wont.

no 3. lot of stuff about shokey johnkey in the rags lately.
any student of history will know that keys style was like hitler in that hitler was not interested in governance at all.
he handed out the portfolios and let them go at each other for his own amusement which among other things was one of the major reasons for his defeat.
as long as he was boss that was all that mattered and this is the reason why so many of New Zealands socially important programmes fell by the wayside as keys  cronies sought to disperse patronage and pay off their mates with shonkey polytechs and other ridiculous growths and excressences on the body politic.

btw.
a message to whoever makes gold top socks.
whoever f*cked around with the formula needs a good kick up the bum.
bought a three pack and it was almost impossible to remove the elastic built in garters.
went back back to Farmers in upper Hutt and bought an off brand three pack that were much more amenable to the quikunpik.
went back to get some more and they were ALL GONE!
the gold tops were still there.
it seems that commercial enterprises have their fair share of idiots too!
