At every turn they are determined to spend money unnecessarily for projects that have no real value.

South Wairarapa want to institute something called the Waiohine Flood Plain thingy that is  nothing less than a giant boondoggle for unemployed civil engineers who want to practice their trade on an unwilling populace  while they spend someone elses money and get a big tick on their CV's before they piss off into the sunset.

In Masterton they are determined to build and events centre that grows by another million dollars [1,000,000] every time it gets reported in the newspaper.
