everybody knows this is nowhere....

quiet Easter.
Picked up "Fighter Station Supreme" by H. R. Allen on Saturday morning and I read that and the "Last Days of Socrates" over the Easter.
surprisingly the subtext was the same for both books although they were written nearly two thousand years apart.
The subtext is that people in authority who know something come to believe that they they know everything.
That's the sort of stuff you gotta watch!
Its everywhere....
we are living in a world where the minnows think they are giants.
whats worse i s they want everyone to know about it.
they want to get on the radio and talk about their music when if they had a half a clue they should know rock and roll is about making girls squeal.
forget the fashion plates.

anyway
Kim Hill on Saturday morning was rubbish.
crass in fact.
Dawkins and his mate getting time to denigrate religion when Kim Hill should be letting people know that the last two thousand years of civilisation are the direct result of Christianity and not secular nitwits.

"For the normative self-understanding of modernity, Christianity has functioned as more than just a precursor or catalyst. Universalistic egalitarianism, from which sprang the ideals of freedom and a collective life in solidarity, the autonomous conduct of life and emancipation, the individual morality of conscience, human rights and democracy, is the direct legacy of the Judaic ethic of justice and the Christian ethic of love. This legacy, substantially unchanged, has been the object of a continual critical reappropriation and reinterpretation. Up to this very day there is no alternative to it. And in light of the current challenges of a post-national constellation, we must draw sustenance now, as in the past, from this substance. Everything else is idle postmodern talk."
Jurgen Habermass

Hill seems to think it is edgy (post modern code for no talent) or some other bullshit to promulgate the view of Dorkins in the belief that she will then have some freedom of choic and no restraints on her behaviour. try another no talent word.. go and play with it. hahahahahahaha.   Seven Sharp last night in the same mold. they use their position to put out the view that Easter is an anachronism. who decides this? they say that Easter Shopping hours are pointless confusing and unenforceable. oh yeah? Has the whole country become so inane that nobody can cope with a day of doing nothing but reflecting on their own lives? well how about this. 75% of kiwis say they are Christians and the point is that if they don't go to church then they rely on those who do to maintain the ethics and standards of a civilised society. not some nitwit behind a camera or a microphone doing their best to show off their hair and teeth.
Neil Young. Please accept my apology for the noonoo heads who walked out on your concert during the encore. everyone knows this is nowhere Neil. anyway Q&A more media crap. they are nothing less than naifs. Jessica Much is too little not too mutch. she doesn't seem to have a brain in her head. She is like Debra Coddington who seems to believe that because she has just read a book (WOW) about politics then tax and spend began with MUldoon. Where do they get these lightweights from? and the funny bit. Mutch has been hanging her hair and teeth out on TeeVee for a while now but Winston Peters said to her, "if you think politics is a game then you dont understand Parliament or Politics". right on Winston. keep kicking their asses because they need it. As soon as the Labour Party realises they are being tracked by inane juveniles then the better.

now for something completely different...
