power to the people...

 right on bro.
 Go Labour.
Give us back our power.
deliver us from the parade of grey suited grafters who want a cut off every penny.
their desires are insatiable and they get away with it so easily in New Zealand.
Their latest whine is that there will be a meltdown in the Stock market  and other dire predictions of doom if re-nationalisation occurs.
Yeah right.
Well some of the analysts and jobbers should go out there and start their own companies instead of stealing off the state

Maurice Williamson.
Nice guy but I wouldn't want to marry him!

Congrats to Charity Children doing okay in Berlin.
Take it Kids!

tale of two boys
went to town yesterday.
In the Library I saw a very well presented young couple with three corker kids.
the boy, 4-5 (?) had a big richly illustrated book on the human body.
He was right into it.
Back on the bus a Granny had bought a book for this little kid on Dinosaurs.
very nice but 5 gets ya ten the first kid will become a doctor while the other will be forever doomed to reading comix.
Not that that's a bad thing but there are better things for kids to do.

restrung the Jackson last night.
the string set was too light and my old st-1 tuner won't tune easily on new strings and I broke the bottom A.
It now has a nifty little reef knot between the nut and the bridge.
street cred huh?

Found a copy of selected letters from Alistair Cooke yesterday.
the people he knew and liked
FDR
Churchill
George Marshall
Dean Acheson
and others
All gone now.
Swept away in the fullness of time but one way or another they made our world and it wise to remember our real heroes.

Prime Redux.
It was pointed out on the Colour War on Monday night that the Americans were flabbergasted at the British outpouring of grief for the death of FDR.
Well he done it.
nobody else.
