white dove...

George Shuffler

Put on the Stanley Brothers this morning and listened to the gentle lilt of thier music flowing out in the ealry morning dew.
George Shuffler was their guitarist for a while and it seems as if he was the inventor of crosspicking.
Its a great technique and it fills in all the spaces.
I can do it myself (wow! what a guy) and it sounds neat.
Bye the bye Jerry Garcia does two Stanley Brothers songs on his solo albums.
White Dove and Girl At The CrossRoads Bar.
Onya Jerry.

White Dove
Girl At The Crossroads Bar

This is some of the greatest music ever made anywhere by anybody. A continual fountain of licks tunes and groove for to excite the imagination of the listener and the player!

and..
Great to see the feature on todays letter pages of the Dompost about noisy cars.
besides the fact that people have a right to live in peace and quiet without distraction from the blasting noise of demented juveniles and overgrown atavistic menchildren, then the  thing is that if the Police concentrate on noisy cars and their exhausts then they can eliminate many  other forms of criminality that are hidden by the continual whine of crappy little cars.
stay on them and hard!
