goodbye ruby tuesday....

watched the second half of Crossfire Hurricane last night.
good stuff.
not to chuffed at Micks last  line before fade to black
"you cant stay young forever".
hmmmmmmmmmm.
 I thought you could.
I never will buy Bobs album "Telltale Signs."
stop giving the frigging show away!
so I went to bed and tried reading Dark Of The Moon by John Sanford
an excellent procedural but sharp as a knife psychological analysis and police interviewing technique.
all in all a superior job.
Before the main event I listened to Stephen Sackur interview Gloria Steinem.
she: the control of the reproductive system is the key to the power of the patriarchy.
hmmm
and
Stephen Sackur: Are you a revolutionary?
Steinem: Worse than that!
go baby.
whip their asses good.
and the constitutional working party
why have  MMaori only been consulted so far?
when do the rest get a say.
and Maori would be most ill advised to insist that the new constitution be constructed for and only for Maori.
there are better ways of doing things than that.
The treaty of Waitangi resembles a commercial contract more than a statement of rights and duties.
the geek American political philosophers that some of you have  hired are more interested in stirring up trouble and inserting clauses that will keep them and the legal profession employed rather than creating a new world.
there is a big shit storm up ahead if everything is done in this almost clandestine way without the whole issue being aired and made transparent to all.
and
Wairarapa Irrigation Project.
better wait till the new Wellington supercity is constituted.
It looks like it will go ahead and the Wairarapa will be incorporated.
some say the local councils are not up to the task and have abandoned their duties to the people in the interest of office holders interests and these must be exposed
besides
as the present dry makes all too plain.
holding water for industrially intensifying agriculture is fraught with downstream objections such as poisoning and depletion of the Rumuahanga Aquifer and salination of large tracts.
The present bunch of councillors are not really qualified to deal with these issues.
Okay gotta go
doing research on wild weasels and sam 2's.
hehehehehe

now for something completely different...
