the fire next time...

Away by the river so clear,

The ladies were winding their way,

And Pharaoh's little daughter stepped down in the water

To bathe in the cool of the day.

Before it was dark she opened the ark

And found the sweet infant was there.

And away by the waters so blue,

The infant was lonely and sad.

She took him in pity and thought him so pretty

And it made little Moses so glad.

She called him her own, her beautiful son

And sent for a nurse that was near.

And away by the river so clear,

They carried the beautiful child,

To his own tender mother, his sister and brother,

Little Moses looked happy and smiled.

His mother so good done all that she could

To rear him and teach him with care.

And away by the sea that was red,

Little Moses the servant of God,

While in him confided, the sea was divided,

As upward he lifted his rod.

The Jews safely crossed while Pharaoh's host

Was drownded in the waters and lost.

And away on the mountain so high,

The last one that ever might see,

While in his victorious, his hope was most glorious

He'd soon o'er the Jordan be free.

When his labor did cease, he departed in peace

And rested in the Heavens above.

just got back from the foothills looking down on the wairarapa plains. she is as dry as a bone mate.
no grass anywhere.
wonder whats gonna happen?

Wairarapa Mayors think that joining up with wellington is a joke.
no mate.
the joke is on them.
they have just indulged themselves in a orgy of wasting public money on superficial erections and hokey jiggery pokery and they think they should be entrusted with further stewardship of the public purse.
nah mate.
the supercity should be established immediately with no mucking around.
where the hell is rodney hyde whenyou really need him?
hmmmmm
and the vote for two members held this november so they cant organise a faction, sell off assets to themselves and therbey allow the election of two newcomers who may not know the ropes but can be guranteed to quickly learn them.
and if they are no good then chuck them out in 2016 and no harm done.
a new era is dawning but the the current lot have proven to be not up to it.
they have played the game for too long with no result.
things must change.

OCD
thinking about the item in yesterdays rag about how Hollywood has normalised OCD.
hey lets have an OCD pride week.
should be fun.
whip it out!
civilisation could be decadent when serious disorders go untreated and nitwits are given free reign.
any mental ilness of whatever magnitude is an attempt to prevent the sufferer feeling their own true thoughts and feelings.
feelings never lie so to deny them or repress them involves enormous amounts of psychic energy that could be better used giving the person a life free from suffering.
it is a form of dishonesty and if it is being normalised then it becomes a social distress syndrome.
only Freudian Psychoanlysis holds out any hope of understanding OCD or attempting treatment but generally if it is allowed to take hold and continues for too long then it can come to have a secondary gain for the sufferer or worse a descent into psychosis.
