showtime...

for people of a certain age the defining moments of their life was the Vietnam War.
I only wished I had gone now.
It was on the cards but I thought I knew better.
A review of all the wars fought since WWII shows that they were all necessary to fight and win.
It is so very easy to come up with bleeding heart crap about the futility of war but tell that to the ones that want to kill you and take what you have because they beleive they have either a cause or because they are just criminals who want anything they can get trheir hands on.
nasty stuff.
Of course everyone wants to get on with their life but when the sh*t hits the fan someone must stand up and do the biz.
Anyway..
I watched a copy of the "Superpilots" yesterday.
I saw a few old familiar faces from the past and great footage.
the script wasnt the best and the disc kept going funny at the end but a great watch.
I think South Coast Produsctions should do one on the Cessna 180 club asap.
The old hands with all the knowledge are not getting any younger.
Also the makers seemed to want to shy away from the technical stuff when apart from the flying is the most interesting.
i.e Engineers opinions and the nuts and bolts.

good piccies of Air Contracts zk-bfu and zk-bll on cessna 180 group site but not possible to download from that site.
