little puzzles...

1. Andrew Little. When are you going to get rid of the spineless jeelyfishes running the Standard and get some people who know what class consciousness is all about!
And re last night programme on Maori TV about Muscle Shoals. There was a piece about W.C. Handy the Father Of The Blues.
IN his bio there is a reference to a song called "Maori Girl".
Calling all musicologists or would be musicologists can you tell me who wrote this song, whether it was ever recorded and what are the lyrics and the arrangement?
That should not be too hard for all the little post modern brainboxes running round thinking they know everything.

Joe Bennet
so JOe found out the truth about male kiwi drivers or at least one section of them
Like the jerk who jumped out of his damyongzeemaxcoloradaranger generic ute with two rottenweillers on the back and started to mouth off at some pour chap and his wife at having been cut off two intersections ago in Queen Street Masterton right outside the Public Library.
See every kiwi male of a certain age who has watched v8's on the telly immediately thinks he has acquired by association the skills of kimikikicommie reikonen and that He should be on the starting grid with Lewis Hamilton.
are you with me now?
they are all limp dicks who think because they can afford a car then somehow they have attained a social status that enables them to know everything there is to know about driving.
yeah right
anyway Joe. I am thinking the same sort of thing happened to you.
The only thing to do is to sit tight and say you are calling the cops and you can watch them vanish immediately.
pooooof!
hehehehehehehehe.

Ann Pettifor.
Come back.
We need you.

and Kathryn Ryan.
can you tell me just what the connection is between synaptic junctions and behaviour if any.
all this talk of brain wiring is just so much flummery and dont let them get away with it.

and David Letterman.
I hear you are coming back.
the sooner the better.
The fuckers have nearly wrecked the world.

Found a nifty copy of Sir Percy Sillitoes bio the other day.
Good cop!

Anne Pettifor

And last but not least a friend lent me the 3cd Fairport Convention set the other day.
It is really nice listening to Sanny Denny's beautiful voice in the early morning light and drifting away to that place that seems to be so far away now
