flatt and scruggs redux

$150 for second hand copy

THE GREATEST

THE PINNACLE OF AMERICAN MUSIC

ONE OF THE GRETEST ALBUMS OF THE 20TH CENTURY

EVERYTHNG YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT COUNTRY MUSIC
One of lifes little oddities is that one of new zealands finest musicians is in the United States teaching people how to play the fiddle there.
she taught herself off a flatt and scruggs album back in the sixties.
sort of like the blues renaissance when the little pommy wunderkids took the blues back to America.
Of course it isn't cool in New Zealand to like country music. People might think that you a hick or sumfing.
Never mind that it is the greatest music to play and anyone can do it in their own home and not break any laws.
It may be simple at first glance with very limited Geoffrey Walker Progressions but in its simplicity lies the space to improvise the melody line at will.
You know., improvise and innovate. Those two qualities that they say we all need but when it is available but is spurned by the ignorati when they come to face to face with it.
ho hum.
