gods little acre

it came round in the fifities but my mother would'nt let us go and see it.
drat.
I guess I never will now.
I still have a pan reprint with a wonderfully lurid cover.
yoweeeeeeeeee!
got some new strings for the Ibanez and the Jackson but haven't changed them yet.
Still a bit of life left in the others.
Had the jackson for over five years and only ever had one set on it.
Its time for a change.
I have a Nu-X mighty 8 amp now and it is much easier to keep everything tuned down and not to loud.
plus you can put it into the house p.a. and it sounds just as big as a marshall stack.
nice little prog on local music on RNZ this morning.
all sorts of stuff inculidng the Maori Haka Boogie with its wonderful slide solo.
those guys could play.
in those days they had mandolin orchestras and other non orchestral string schools.
all gone now.
all the kids can do now is thumb an ipod and satisfy themselves that they are cool.
lots of fun on thestandard.org.nz.
politics keep going even during the holidays.
It drives away the ennui!
All the rightwing fruitcakes have come out of the closet.
cutting and pasting huge screeds of nonsense and just filling up pages with incomprehensible garabage.
why do they do that.
if you dont have an argument just shut up.
ludwig wittgenstein.

here is a little beauty from the complete essays of Michel de Montaigne.
"On Thumbs".

Sed nec vocibus excitata blandis
molli pollice nec rogata, surgit.

hehehehehehehehe

otherwise just filling in the time working over the changes to:
"riders on the storm"
"light my fire"
and
"little wing"
keeps a boring old fart busy!
