why dont we sing this song altogether...

talked to these kids the other day about the rolling stones and the first thing one of them said was that they were just an R&B bnad that got lucky. Yeah right. And that they preferred the Beatles anyway?
There minds were already made up and try as they might they could not unfreeze them to take a look at what had made either of them what they were. Pity because the story is as amazing as the music. The Rolling Stones somehow manged to distill a 100 years of american music into 6 defining albums that will never be matched. they combined blues, country, english music hall into one seamless, flawless amalgam that was all their own and a body of work that stands alongside everything and anything a beethoven might throw up. Classical composers write down every variation but a true musician can invent melodic and harmonic innovations on the spot. Can you see the difference?
The Beatles could do it and so could the kinks and the who. and them
