The people wanting to dam  this river are like kids with their own first electric train set.
They want to mess round with something that does not belong to them because they can and because they calculate some nebulous economic benefit.
the Managatarere is one of New Zealands premier trout spawning rivers but now a whole gang of what are no less than dipshits and noo noo heads are determined to work their will on our environment and biota.
in truth they are not much better than vandals.
they might think they are clever with their fresh minted civil engineering degrees and hangers on but they should go somewhere and do something useful instead of trying to mop up the last and most valuable pieces of New Zealands natural heritage.

and I had to go to Masterton this arvo for an appointment.
Had a nibble at one establishment and blow me down and pick me up if the chicken didn't actually taste like chicken!!!!!!!!!
no pink around the bone and no sort of faint lingering taste of chicken shit.
it smelt good,was truly delicious and I will go back there.
